While the hat world measures sizes in centimeters, we prefer to measure in inches. Grab a seamstress measuring tape or something that does not stretch, Measure from the center of your forehead all the way around your head and voila! Use your size in inches to select the right hat size for you. Our sizes range from SMALL, MEDIUM, to LARGE. Our hats have a plush elastic band that fits like a dream and can accommodate a range of sizes.

• Small / / 22 inches or less
• Medium / / 22 to 23 inches
• Large / / 23 inches or more

If you are between sizes, we suggest sizing up. All orders include milliners felt tape to help your hat fit more snug if needed.

• You want your hat to fit snug, but not too snug to where it is uncomfortable. If your hat feels too tight to where it is uncomfortable, it is too small.

• If your hat moves when you shake your head left to right, it is too big.

• All our hats are shipped with felt milliners’ tape that you can stick under the hat band for a snugger fit. We suggest placing the tape under the hat band before removing the film on the sticky side to test the fit first.

• Place the tape in the back, or from and back of the hat to see how much more snug you want it. Some people just need a piece in the back, and some prefer a piece in the front and back for an even snugger fit.

We suggest store your hat with the brim flipped up in one of three ways:

• Lay the brim down on a flat surface
• Flipped upside down with the crown down on a flat surface
• Hanging on a flat wall

Because our hats are handmade with natural, organic materials we don't ever suggest getting them wet. Be mindful of rain, pools and the ocean. Exposure to moisture is not ideal. Treat your straw with care!

In the case your hat does get wet, allow it to dry completely followed by a little bit of patience, you may be able to mold your hat back to its proper shape. Email us if you need additional assistance. We are here to help.

Yes, you can mold the shape of your brim. All our hats come with the brims flipped up, so they do not get damaged during shipping. So, most of our hats can be worn with the brim flipped up or flipped down easily.

To shape your brim more specifically, go out in the sun with your hat and pinch/bend the brim to mold it into your preferred shape—the sun warms the straw and allows for more play when molding. The more you bend and play with the brim, the more shape it will take. You can also try steaming your hat as well.
